Dr Reuben Kirk

Reuben is a New Zealand trained radiologist with a sub-specialty interest in musculoskeletal and spinal imaging, as well as image-guided procedures.

Before studying medicine, Reuben spent nearly 10 years as a musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist. This experience enhances his radiology practice by providing a deeper understanding of injury mechanisms and management, improving clinical correlation, and delivering more practical, clinically relevant reports.

Reuben attended the University of Auckland School of Medicine, graduating in 2016. After working as a junior doctor for 2 years, he pursued radiology specialty training in Auckland, earning his FRANZCR in 2023. In his final year of radiology training, Reuben completed the MRI body fellowship at Te Whatu Ora – Waitematā.

In 2024, Reuben completed sub-speciality musculoskeletal fellowship training at Beyond Radiology, and has since joined the team permanently.

Outside of work, Reuben enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking his dog, catching a wave and the playing guitar.
