Dr Raj Vasanthan | Radiologist

Raj is a New Zealand trained musculoskeletal and general Radiologist. He holds a consultant position at Beyond Radiology and Middlemore Hospital.

After graduating from the University of Auckland, Raj worked as a junior doctor in the Waikato, Tauranga and Auckland regions before completing his radiology specialty training in Auckland. He completed an MRI fellowship at Middlemore Hospital in his final year of training.

In 2024, Raj completed a Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at Imaging Associates in Melbourne. He gained expertise in a wide range of orthopaedic and sports medicine imaging, as well as interventional procedures including PRP, steroid and radiofrequency ablation therapy.

Raj grew up Hamilton and enjoys cycling, basketball and spending time with his wife, daughter and British Shorthair cat.
